If your fiscal year follows the calendar year, you are probably beginning to start planning for next year’s budget. Likewise, it is the perfect time to plan a strategic planning day and establish a strategic plan for your business. This planning day will identify the initiatives needed, along with the respective resources, to move the business forward in the upcoming year.

Assuring that strategic initiatives have been addressed in the new budget is a necessary step to the proper implementation of the strategic plan. It also assures the personnel, who have been assigned the responsibility for moving a strategic initiative forward, that they have the support of management to do so. Contact me today if I can help you get your strategic plan developed before your new budget!

“I need to lose weight.” We hear that statement often but one doesn’t lose weight by just saying that. A goal has to be set and a plan put in place to achieve the desired loss. That’s an every day example of the impact of proper planning. Each pound loss requires a “strategic initiative” to achieve. So does each dollar gained in a business!

Put a strategic plan in place to help your business lose its inefficiencies and gain revenue. Contact me to help facilitate the process.

A new school year is starting and many students see it as an opportunity to get good grades and do better than the previous year in some way. Businesses should do the same assessment at some point and that point may be the start of a new fiscal year.

How are we doing? How have we done in the past and how are we positioned for the future? What “grades” will the business earn this year? Are there new opportunities to do better or try a new initiative? These are just some of the questions addressed in strategic planning. I’d love to help you make the grade! Contact me today.

“How’s business?” I asked recently of a young business partner. “Oh, it’s going OK,” was the answer. The person went on to explain that the partner in the business was content with the status quo and didn’t want to revisit their strategic plan that had been developed about two and a half years earlier. However, the partner with whom I was speaking did desire a new strategic planning session but it wasn’t scheduled.

One of the great benefits of a strategic plan is that it provides a dynamic, growth-oriented energy to keep the business moving in the right direction. Complacency, on the other hand, can kill a business. New competition, economic changes, dynamics of customer relations, etc. can change the direction of a business quickly. Contact me for strategic planning facilitation to energize your plan!
